ENBE was formed in 2004 in response to a need for expert advisory services in shoreline engineering, science and management.  This demand continues to grow, fuelled by the ever-increasing challenge to protect coastal infrastructure, to safeguard fragile ecosystems, and to provide a resource for renewable energy. 

A private limited company, ENBE’s registered office is in London, whilst the business and main operating office is in Peterborough, UK.

Our mission

ENBE specialises in the complex interaction between the sea and the built environment. We provide a bridge between engineering technology and environment science.  We aim to provide quality advisory and design services, speak the language of our clients, and complete our work on time.

Flexibility

Working in the marine environment is a dynamic and exciting field, but with this comes a measure of the unexpected.  We use a flexible approach for defining project requirements and can adapt to changing circumstances, whilst always  keeping the end objective in sight.

Economy and dedication

As a niche consultancy, we operate efficiently and carry small overheads.  In the absence of corporate administrations and hierarchies, we are able to deliver our services economically. Clients deal directly with the expert responsible for their interests, and therefore are reliably kept informed as a project progresses. 

Company Director —Dr Noel Beech BSc PhD CEng MICE

Dr Noel Beech worked with a large international consultancy and three major maritime contractors, prior to forming ENBE.  A recognised expert in coastal and maritime engineering, Dr Beech is also known for major contributions to the study and understanding of shoreline processes.  Further to a substantial track record in the UK, Dr Beech has worked in over 20 countries and is therefore is able to bring a wealth and breadth of experience to each and every project.
